RULES

Why a Poster Session?
The main goal of the Poster Session is to gain the maximum benefit from the scientific work presented and to create a lively interaction between poster authors and the other participants of the Summer School. On one hand it will be possible to gather feedbacks and suggestions from other researchers (senior and junior) and on the other hand there will be the opportunity to exchange information with the other participants

Preparing the Poster
The success of a poster, as with a paper, depends primarily upon its content. However, the presentation technique significantly enhances interest and comprehension by the attendees. The poster must basically tell the story by itself. Include your objective, the design/methods, the results and the conclusion. Only essential text should be given, and diagrams, graphs or photos can be included. Plan your text and graphics so that visual contrast is high.

Text on Poster
One poster board will be allocated for each poster presentation.

  • The size required is approximately 130 cm wide and 90 cm high.
  • The poster should be readable from a distance of 2-3 meters. Use large type such as 36 point type for section headings and 24 point type for text. Don’t use type smaller than 18 point. This is 18 Point Type.
  • The text should be broken up by the inclusion of drawings and/or photos. The use of the colour makes the poster more effective and attractive.
  • Make use of underlines and boldface.
